Building on his strong academic foundation, Terry earned both a Juris Doctor (J.D.) and a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Taxation, cum laude, from Georgetown University. His combination of technical and legal education has given him a well-rounded perspective, enabling him to approach complex estate planning challenges from a legal and financial standpoint. Before transitioning to private practice, Terry spent 18 years as a professor, teaching law, engineering, and computer science. A passion marked his academic career for mentoring students and helping them bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and practical applications. This experience helped shape his communication skills, enabling him to explain complex topics in a clear and accessible manner—skills he now uses to guide clients through intricate estate planning decisions. At Neil Jesani Advisors, Terry brings his diverse expertise to help clients create customized estate plans. He is skilled in using various legal structures, such as Dynasty Trusts, Family Limited Liability Companies, and Domestic Asset Protection Trusts, to craft strategies that protect clients’ wealth and legacies. His knowledge of both law and finance allows him to provide well-rounded advice that meets his clients’ unique needs. In addition to his professional work, Terry has a variety of personal interests. He is an avid collector of high-top Chuck Taylors, with over 150 pairs, many of which are custom-labeled with his name. He is also passionate about boating, particularly sailing and power boating, and enjoys spending time on his 47-foot power catamaran.
